Southern California Coast Trek Guidebook, Malibu to the Tijuana River

Southern California Coast Trek Guidebook Click to see a video and download the book.

The newest and best guidebook to walking from Malibu to the Tijuana River, 188 miles. Click here to see a video and download the book for printing or to your computer. The printed book will be available in October 2015.

This new guidebook includes trekking miles of prime Pacific coastline, Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve and UCSD. With spectacular sandy beaches, homes of many Hollywood stars, and charming seaside towns, each day's walk is startlingly free from traffic and hordes of people.

Thank you to the California Coastal Alliance and the California voters, who in 1972 passed the Coast Initiative to protect this magnificent coast from development, making it a coastal zone for all. Walking through the area creates a deep gratitude for their hard-won victories and ongoing efforts.

However, a very small portion has trail markers. This guide will lead you step-by-step, hostel by hotel, ice cream cone by fresh fish feast. Not just a trail guide, you have a book that includes where to stay, where to eat and get public transport.

Walked, written and illustrated by Tyler E. Burgess, who trekked solo the entire route in January 2015.
Other guidebooks by Burgess are "Seattle Townscape Walks", "Portland Townscape Walks", "Eugene, Oregon Walks", "Oregon Townscape Walks", "Siena, Italy Townscape Walks", and "Quito, Ecuador Townscape Walks".
